It doesn't matter what you weigh

     Many Americans become overly consumed with their weight. They are trying to address their health (great), but looking at it the wrong way.

     Every week I have a client ask "what should I weigh or what is a good body weight for me?" I can't answer that question. I will tell them what their body composition should be.

     Body composition is a test that tells you what you are made of. It breaks down your weight into muscle, fat and water. Once we know this number (PBF: percent body fat), we can then determine if any changes should be made and set realistic goals around getting to a good percent body fat.

     Usually we will be looking at trying to add muscle mass, and losing some body fat mass. These are the only 2 things you can control (muscle and fat).

As those goals are achieved, your weight really doesn't matter. You will be the picture of good health.
